• Purpose: Powers the AI Tutor tab — generates dynamic NCLEX-PN practice questions and provides tutoring responses
• Data Processed: Text questions and prompts you send through the AI Tutor feature
• When Used: Only when you actively use the AI Tutor tab and have entered a valid API key
• Data Retention: Anthropic processes requests in real-time. No permanent storage of your questions on our servers

4.2 Google AdMob

• Purpose: Displays advertisements within the app to support free access for nursing students
• Data Processed: Device identifiers and usage data for ad serving and measurement

💾 6. Local Data Storage

The following features process and store data entirely on your device:

• Progress Statistics: Category accuracy, overall score, study streak LOCAL
• Claude API Key: Stored in iOS AppStorage on your device only LOCAL

• Onboarding Status: Whether you've completed onboarding, stored locally LOCAL

Data stored locally never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

• No Permanent Server Storage: We do not store your quiz answers, practice results, or AI conversations on our servers
• Real-Time AI Processing: AI Tutor requests are processed in real-time via the Claude API — not retained by us
• Local-First Architecture: All progress, scores, streaks, and history remain on your device
• Encryption in Transit: Industry-standard HTTPS encryption protects all API communications
• Reset Anytime: You can delete all locally stored progress data from the Settings tab at any time

🤝 8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Only AI Tutor prompts are sent — when you actively use the AI Tutor with your own API key
• Google AdMob: Device identifiers for advertisement delivery within the app
• Legal Obligations: When required by law or to protect legal rights

Your quiz answers, practice scores, and progress data are NEVER shared with any third party.

👶 9. Children's Privacy

NCLEX PN Exam 2026 is designed for adult nursing students preparing for the NCLEX-PN licensure examination. This app is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at nclexpnexam@gmail.com and we will delete such information promptly.

• Reset Progress: Go to Settings tab → Reset Progress to delete all local study data
• Remove API Key: Go to Settings tab → Update API Key → clear the field
• Ad Preferences: Manage personalized ads via iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking

🌍 11. International Data Transfers

When using the AI Tutor feature, your prompts are processed by Anthropic's Claude API, which operates globally. Anthropic maintains appropriate data safeguards for international transfers.

Note: All Practice Quiz and Mock Exam features process data locally on your device — no international transfers involved.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated policy in the app and on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document

Generate unlimited dynamic NCLEX-PN practice questions and get nursing explanations. Requires your personal Claude API key. Prompts are sent to Anthropic's API in real-time. No permanent storage of your AI conversations by us.

📝 Mock Exam LOCAL RESULTS

Full 85-question, 60-minute NCLEX-PN simulation using questions from the local question bank. Timer, answers, and final score all processed locally. Mock exam history stored on device only.

📊 Progress Tracker 100% LOCAL

Overall accuracy %, category breakdown, study streak, sessions completed, and mock exam history. All statistics computed and stored locally on your device using iOS storage.

⚙️ Settings 100% LOCAL

Claude API key input, privacy policy link, contact support, and progress reset. All settings stored locally. API key never transmitted to our servers.
